This Privacy Policy explains how Stirvia (“Stirvia”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use the Stirvia mobile application (the “App”). Stirvia is a social sports and coaching platform for players in Singapore. We process personal data in accordance with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).

1. Information we collect

Account information: your email address and a password (stored only in hashed form by our authentication provider).
Profile information: display name, profile photo (optional), bio (optional), and gender (optional — you may skip this).
Photos: with your permission, access to your photo library is used solely so you can set a profile picture.
Activity data: games you host or join, messages you send in game chats, skill levels you record, and similar in-app activity.
Push notification tokens: a device token used to deliver notifications about your games.
Diagnostics: crash reports and error logs to help us fix problems and improve stability.

2. How we use your information

To create and manage your account and profile.
To operate core features: discovering, hosting, and joining games; in-game chat; and skill matching.
To send you notifications relevant to your games (e.g. join requests, approvals, reminders).
To send essential transactional emails (e.g. account verification, password reset).
To monitor, debug, and improve the App.
To maintain safety and prevent abuse.

3. Sharing with other users

Your display name, profile photo, and bio are visible to other users in the context of games you host or join, and in game chats. Messages you send in a game chat are visible to other participants of that game.

4. Service providers

We share data with trusted third parties only as needed to run the App:

Supabase — database, authentication, and backend hosting.
Apple Push Notification service and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging — delivery of push notifications.
Sentry — crash and error reporting.
Resend — delivery of transactional emails.
Google Maps — map display.

These providers may process data outside Singapore. Where data is transferred overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure a comparable standard of protection as required by the PDPA.

5. Data retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data as described below, except where we are required to retain it by law.

6. Deleting your account and data

You can delete your account at any time directly in the App: go to Profile → Edit Profile → Delete Account. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile and associated personal data from our systems. Some content you contributed may be retained in anonymised form, and backups are purged on a rolling schedule. You may also request deletion by contacting us at support@stirvia.com.

7. Your rights

Under the PDPA, you may request access to or correction of your personal data, and you may withdraw consent for its collection, use, or disclosure. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@stirvia.com.

8. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect your personal data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
